A free judo DVD
There is a series of videos called "Kosen Judo" that demonstrates how good judoka used to be.
We used to know many ground fighting techniques that have now been lost--although preserved (or reinvented) in BJJ. Amazingly, and happily, these videos exist and are able to prove just how good we once were. Few judoka I have met are nearly as good as the geezers in Kosen Judo.
Unfortunately, the original videos are in Japanese and uncategorized. While I haven't (yet) made them accessible to English speakers, I have cut them up so that they are more easily browseable. I've also put them in DVD format, so you can watch them on your TV.
Feel free to download the DVD image. You should be able to burn it to a disk with your favourite authoring software. Be advised, though, the file is huge (4.2 GB) and will take hours, even days, to download.
